Sessions
Sunbeam Christian Preschool offers three different sessions during the school year.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Registration Fee
A $20.00 nonrefundable registration fee is collected at enrollment.
Tuition
Monday-Wednesday-Friday classes cost $67.00 per month. Tuesday-Thursday classes cost $57.00 per month. Tuition is paid in advance and is due by the first of the month, except for the month of September. September's tuition is paid at enrollment. If payment is not received by the 15th day of the month, the child will be dropped from the program. There is a $30.00 fee for all returned checks. Checks are to be made payable to Sunbeam Christian Preschool. Please put your child's name in the memo line to receive proper credit.
Holidays
We follow the USD 234 school calendar from Labor Day to Memorial Day.
Inclement Weather
In the event of bad weather, Sunbeam Christian Preschool will close any time the USD 234 schools close. Please tune into the local radio or television stations for school closing announcements.
Age Requirements
Children must be age three by August 31st of the enrollment year. Additionally, children must be potty trained and able to function safely in a preschool environment.
Discrimination Policy
There shall be no discrimination of children or parents due to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, physical handicap or sex. Special needs children may be required to provide extra staff at the cost of the child's parent or guardian to keep in compliance with state requirements.
Accidents
Parents are notified of all accidents. We do not administer any medication. State regulations are strictly followed.
Illness
Please keep your child home if he shows any sign of illness. Your child will recover faster and absenteeism will be lower. Please let us know if your child's illness is contagious. If your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please inform the staff. Should your child become ill at school, the staff will contact you immediately. It is necessary that we have current phone numbers so we are able to contact you if your child becomes ill. We request that you complete a medical release form giving the staff permission to seek medical attention for your child in the event you cannot be reached.
Conferences
Parents may confer with the teacher at any time or make an appointment to discuss their child's progress.
Snacks
Parents take turns sending snacks for snack time. Please do not send any snacks that contain nuts or peanut butter due to any allergies of other students.
Arrival and Dismissal
Parents should be prompt in bringing and picking up their child. Please be no more than ten minutes early or late in pickup. If the parent is more than fifteen minutes late, there will be a $.50 fee per minute after the first fifteen minutes.
Discipline
There is no corporal punishment at Sunbeam Christian Preschool. The children are rewarded for positive behavior. If a child exhibits negative behavior, he will be separated from the group activity. The staff reserves the right to remove a child from the program if the adjustment of the child or parent requires such action.
Show and Tell
Children are allowed to bring things of interest for show and tell time, such as leaves, books, or pictures.
Lost or Stolen Items
The school and staff are not responsible for lost, stolen, or broken items. Please label all clothing, tote bags, and other personal items with the child's first and last name.
Visitors
We welcome your visit anytime. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your child's experience at Sunbeam Christian Preschool. Visiting children must be accompanied by an adult.
